Each semester, the Office of Strategic Communication offers an orientation for new UW–Madison marketing and communications employees where you’ll meet members of the Strategic Communication team, hear more about our approach to institutional communications and marketing, learn about resources available to all campus communicators, and network with others in your field. Our next training is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 25. You can sign-up to receive notification when registration opens.

Join a community of practice group
There are several active, engaging communities of practice on campus related to communications and marketing work, including some professional development groups our office helps facilitate, such as Research Communicators and #UWSocial. These communities aim to create opportunities and places to share relevant information, help one another solve problems, and make connections across campus.
